Design-Driven Kitchens, Baths, and Cabinetry Along the Connecticut & Rhode Island Shoreline

A Collaborative Process for Timeless, Functional Design

With more than 20 years of experience in kitchen and bath design, I bring both creativity and technical expertise to every project. I began my career at an architectural firm before moving into a local kitchen and bath design showroom, where I refined my skills working on projects of all sizes. My work has been in several publications, the most recent being a project in Essex for Connecticut Magazine. Although a lot of my projects are along the Shoreline in Connecticut, Mystic, Stonington, Groton, Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, my work can be seen Westerly, Charlestown and Narragansett in Rhode Island

My Design Philosophy

For me, design starts with functionality. A kitchen or bathroom needs to do more than just look beautiful — it has to work for the way you live every day. While many of my projects reflect the relaxed elegance of coastal style, I also love the opportunity to create sleek, modern designs when clients are looking for a different aesthetic.

How I Work With Clients

I believe great design is a collaborative process. Every project begins with a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we review your wishlist, look at inspiration photos, and discuss your goals. From there, I measure and draw the existing space, then sketch design concepts. Clients can choose to stop at the sketch stage, or I can develop full plans that include cabinetry, fabrication details, color and material selections, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and more.

My role can be as flexible as you need — from providing design concepts to managing the entire project through completion. I coordinate with contractors, plumbers, electricians, and installers to keep things moving smoothly, reducing stress and helping you avoid costly mistakes. Some clients prefer to use tradespeople they’ve worked with before, and I’m always happy to collaborate with your chosen team.

Why Work With a Designer?

Many homeowners wonder why they should hire a designer instead of working directly with a contractor or buying cabinets at a big-box store. The answer is simple: I provide better quality, knowledge, and service. Big-box stores sell products, but they don’t offer the level of customization or personal attention needed for a successful remodel.

Hiring a designer also helps you save time and money. With a clear plan, you won’t waste money on materials that don’t fit or finishes that clash. My experience ensures that each step of the process happens in the right order, avoiding delays and costly rework. Plus, I’ve built strong relationships with trusted vendors and material representatives, which means my clients receive excellent service and attention that they wouldn’t get on their own.

A Personalized Approach

Unlike some designers, I don’t require clients to purchase products through me. I’m design-driven, not sales-driven — which means my focus is always on creating the best solution for your home and your lifestyle.

Whether you’re planning a kitchen remodel or updating a bathroom or exploring custom cabinetry, my goal is always the same: to guide you through the process, make it as smooth as possible, and deliver a space that is both functional and timeless.
